"AND GOD CREATED WOMAN" to tan topless or not to tan topless
FRENCH RIVIERA
If there is one spot in the world where bikini history has been made, it's the French Riviera. And the person who brought the buzz with no fuzz to the beaches was Bridgette Bardot.
In the early 50's she brought the bikini to the beaches of st tropez when she starred in Roger Vadim's film "AND GOD CREATED WOMAN" (1956). Only 10 years after World War 2, Bardot stole hearts around the world by soaking up rays in her Vichy suit. In her teeny bikini Bardot was the image of a simple young woman, strides apart from Christian Dior's new look, so popular at the time.
Naturally provocative and constantly eyed by the media, Bardot took it a step further when she sunbathed on the terrace of St Tropez's Hotel Byblos. She was quickly imitated by thousands of other beach bums who made going topless the new symbol of woman's freedom. The beachs of St Tropez and especially the legendary Club55, inextricably linked to the movie she starred in, were the first places to host the new fashion. And so begun the myth of the small French port town and its free spirit. It was the start of the immigration of swingers captivated by tanning topless girls on vacation, each wearing only half a bikini.
What's your view on topless tanning? Is it acceptable? Is it a summer ritual?

Hot summer whites! look like a VS model!
You can't go past a white bikini!
Its like the same as having a LBD - little black dress- its a staple item and must have for your wardrobe.
More importantly a white bikini should be in your bikini collection!
White is fresh, shows of a tan, will not go see through when wet... and seriously sexy!
Check out this white crochet kini bikini from our current range:
$110 its called the croatia bikini!
its super skinny sides and tie triangle top is available with cups or without.

Oh dear I am not beach ready! help!
Ok so for those of you who were not at Bondi Beach today- it was packed!
Everyone was out and about enjoying the first 28 degrees we have had since last summer.
Now for me summer has all of a sudden crept up and feel like fark i better get my ass into gear with all the pool parties, beach bbqs, cocktail parties, launches, lazing sun baking days at the beach and how could we forget ivy pool! with a hectic weekend schedule this means that during the week is your down time to get your body and mind healthy for the summer time!.
Now if you want some cheat sheet ways to get your body back to how it was or you want to feel amazing inside and out then here are some tested methods that are instant! no joke 1 week you will look and feel completely different!
So just a bit of a back ground check- I used to be in the fitness game, I studied fitness science and exercise for 2 years until I realised it wasn't for me.
I still however have retained knowledge on what's the best exercise for creating long lean muscles and sculpting the bod you want!
1) Drink as much water as you can! I am talking 2 big bottles a day. This will rehydrate you and its so important for plumping your skin and reducing those facial lines and wrinkles.
2) To slim down really quickly follow this plan - it works trust me! After a 5 weeks of traveling around Europe and drinking every day plus eating enough food for 2 people I had put on a few kgs and I could feel it in my clothes that i bought at the start of my trip,
I had fit into my motorcycle jeans easily but to my dismay at the end of my trip I could just get my legs through and the zip would not do up over my muffin tops, not to mention my slight food baby bump!
Problem was that I was heading to LA and Vegas and that meant swimwear! I found a way to quickly tone up and lose the 3 kg I had put on, this is how I did it in 1 week- no joke!
- breakfast: protein smoothy
-snack : piece of fruit and a hand full of almonds with a green tea
-lunch: salmon shashimi 6 pieces, with either edamame, miso , or a small side salad.
- dinner: japanese also- so mixed shashimi with either miso or small salad
Exercise: 1 hour: 40 mins jog/ run
plus : 20 pushups, variations of sit ups, 20 x lunges, 20 x squats, plus 20 x tricep dips,
step jumps x 20 and stretching afterwards.
+ Its all about toning ladies, pump classes at the gym are the best!
I did that everyday for a week and the results were instant! Not only did i feel great, but I had a lot of energy too!
here are a few more tips I swear by:
1) vitamins- multi vitamin and iron tablet
2) chromium picolinate - natures own brand, it promotes lean muscle mass and also curbs sugar and sweet cravings! it regulates your blood sugar.
2) definetly put on a couple of layers of fake tan! plus spray your face also.
3) DIY buff and polish in cute summer shades like pale pink, corals or taupe.
4) Detox and purify your blood and clear your skin by taking Chlorophyl - found at health food stores- with water, this stuff is magical, i actually need to get some more!
5) Get 8 hours of sleep a night during the week- so important.
6) Nourish your skin at night by applying rose hip oil to your face- its great for sun damage and gets rid of wrinkles and rehydrates your skin over night. plus the best thing is its so cheap compared to night creams and all natural!
7) look after your hair if you are swimming- use a hair treatment once a week or make your own hair oil at home- no need to buy moroccon oil as you can make a similar concoction from your pantry. Try: olive oil, macadamia oil, few drops of lavendar etc
just put in the ends do not put at your roots or you will look like you have homeless hair!
I need to get my 8 hours now so I will add more tips shortly! In the meantime get excited! summer is nearly here!
Paris Vogue featuring Kate Moss
Think Vogue magazine and I automatically think of a european vogue edition. Paris Vogue I would say is definitely the leader of the pack when it comes to leading the way for this iconic magazine title. ( pitty I cannot read or understand french) .
I was lucky enough on a recent trip to Paris to indulge all of the glossy fashion magazines I could carry, but of course this meant that 10 magazines added an extra 10kg to my luggage. So i started a scrap book of all my favourite pages.
I will share one of them with you now this would have to be my favourite!
Kate Moss looking stunning on the front cover of Paris Vogue bathing in the glittering sunlight wearing a 60's inspired swimsuit, sporting a catseye, coral red lips and dewy bronzy cheeks = gorgeous!
stay tuned for more: tomorrow kini bikini xx live for summer xx

bikini and body proud
So often going to a busy beach such as bondi can be daunting for some ( including me) sometimes.
The dreading thought of walking into and out of the water knowing that hundreds of eyes belonging to people watchers or down right perverts are glued to your assets.
It is all in the way you hold and carry your self if you walk around all slouchy and shoulders pinned forward you will look awkward and uncomfortable. Stand up and be proud in your bikini!
Confidence is the key. you go girl ...

look how cute the kinibikini sail bandeau is!

"Girls close your eyes picture yourself in an exotic location ( perhaps the south of france) you are wearing a new bikini and sipping on a pina colada"
The smell of coconut tanning oil and your favourite summer scent wafts through the summer breeze.
* now crank up the office air con to 30 degrees
* get a cold icy drink and place it against your face
* put some jack johnson or cafe del mar on your work computer
* close your eyes and visualise the hunk you just picked up at the bar;
girls this could be you... enjoy your summers... summer long and summer sexy.
